Niagara Falls

Millions of people have visited Niagara Falls for their power and natural beauty. Honeymooners have flocked to Niagara Falls since the 19th century. Famous visitors to the Falls have included JFK, Princess Diana, Pierre Trudeau, Jimmy Carter and more. Niagara Falls was also featured in such films as "Niagara" with Marilyn Monroe and "Superman II" with Christopher Reeve.
One fifth of the worlds fresh water supplies are in the Upper Great Lakes, all of which flows over Niagara Falls. The combined flow of water over both the Horseshoe Falls and American Falls is calculated at 750,000 US gallons of water per second.
The height of the Horseshoe Falls is 177 feet and the American Falls is 176 feet, although the drop to the rocks is about 70 feet. The length at the brink of the Horseshoe Falls is 2,200 feet and the American Falls is 850 feet. The depth of the water at the base of the Falls can be as deep as 185 feet.

Falls Fireworks
Come to Queen Victoria Park to the Illumination Stage across from the Falls for FREE Coca-Cola Concerts at 8:00 p.m. followed by Pizza Pizza Fireworks at 10:00 p.m.
